5 New Updates to the Qx4! Check Them Out!!! (plus mystery switch?!)

Hey! Holy crap I don’t use this much at all anymore! And since I don not, I have listed the 5 things I have done to my Q since I last talked to any of you guys. Please read all 5!!!!!

First I put the luggage racks back on the top of my Q because I got bored today and it was raining outside. They look decent and I can’t decide if I like them better on or off.

Second I now have a much better digital camera. It’s a Canon Digital Rebel XT. It’s got 8 mega pixels so much better pictures! I have some cool new pictures of my Qx4 so check them out below.

Third I also spent about an hour cleaning the engine today. It just used a towel and a waterway sprayer bottle along with a sponge and armor all. Tell me what you think! And please tell me if you think yours is cleaner!

Fourth, I got paint from the local infiniti dealership and touched up the running boards on the driver side as well as any paint chips on the entire car. It doesn’t look perfect, but much better than it did before!

LASTLY I have discovered a mystery switch in my car. It is located right under the center console on the driver side. I can’t find anything about it in the Manuel and I was wondering if this was in every Qx4?

definitely an aftermarket switch.

he did a similar switch so that the dvd player would work while driving personally i'd take that center console apart to see where the wires go... plus its a good chance to clean all the nasty gunk under there. Seems youre a clean freak like me.

That would be the coolest thing in the world. i have a TV installed but they people who sold it to me said it wouldn't work....but they never told me anything about this switch. they just told me it didn't work. and honestly i think im way to obsessed with my car being clean! i work at a carwash and let me just tell you lol....mine is damn clean

your engine bay will always look brighter and cleaner than mine if you can keep that white so bright.

about the switch i would do what fueler suggested, ive got one under my dash and i have no idea what it does and its very hard to reach.

whooaaa good work on all that...especially the running board touch up...from afar you cant see it! as for the switch its def aftermarket....could be anything really!

Yup, AutoZone special there on the switch...Q looks good...nice job on the engine bay...I still have California desert and some NC mud all over mine...still runs like a top, so...screw it...

i have a switch like that on my pathfinder as wel except its near my mirror adjustmenton the left side. i traced the wire and it was cut by the previous owner so it goes no where now.

possible uses for teh switch could have been for an immobilizer (if yours is in a hard to reach place), extra set of fog lights or driving lights, or something audio or dvd related.

Yeah i figured out what the switch went to ....the broken TV in the roof of the car....
