Ive been looking around at wheels for my hatch, and am split between sportmax 006's and 962's. then i realized, "**** im going to have to put some bigger brakes on unless i want to look silly..." not to mention the effects of a larger rotating mass.

i was wondering how big a rotor i could/should fit behind a 17" rim.

Actually on 17" rims you can fit the 12.8" rotors at from http://www.splparts.com/ on there and they'll look real nice. Although I'm not too sure about the spacing to fit the calipers behind the rims.

yeah im thinking im going to have to hop on yet another bandwagon and go the z32 route. I was hoping not to but seeing that i'd have to spend about 1800 on a four piston Rotora front end kit only to have to have them drilled or have to convert to 5-lug as well.... ugh.

i read that one person only did the z32 swap on the front end. Is that advisable? seems like it would be unballanced and you'd run the risk understeer when braking hard in a turn. and we all know s13's are prone to that already.

previous owner of my car did 5 lug swap and z32 brakes in front... made nothing but a huge headache for me when i needed to replace parts... ordering the wrong parts, returning and ordering still the wrong parts...

s14 rotors in rear, s13 calipers in rear, z32 brakes up front... guh... i dont like them anymore... i think i would rather be 4 lug and stock brakes, but i already have to much invested in multiple sets of 5 lug rims...

well it looks like you have your shopping list established. shouldnt be difficult after that if you know what to buy.

this whole 4-lug issue reminds me of another issue of "one less" that irks me...

having a KA24E.

when the eff will manufacturers realize there's a market in 4-lug brakes and singe overhead cam motors????

some of us dont want to deal with mismatched parts and near-impossible emmissions laws.
