5 lug swap questions

hello i was wondering if this was a good deal for my s-13 that is being built as we speak (swap) and he has aproached me with a deal of swaping to all four 5 lugs from a s-14 rim's and newer tires, brakes and whatever else is needed the reason this other guy wanted to swap is he has a set of 4 lug rims he wants to put on any way he gave me the price of 500 trading my stuff to and i was told the back just bolts up and the front needs a new ball joint pressed for it to fit i was wondeiring if this was true, is this worth doing? thanks.

i know everyone is going to flame you and tell you to use the search button..but sometimes the search button starts trippin....but anyway yeah the s14 rear spindle bolts in..the only difference is the way the rear strut mounts( no biggie) the s13 mount is threaded with a nut on the end and the s14/s15 uses a fixed post that uses a flared bolt to hold it..or save that hassle and just unbolt the four bolts that hold the hub in and swap just the hubs...i got a good deal on all 4 spindles with hubs so i swaped spindles too..either way...the front is a direct on after you press out your s13 ball joints and press s14 joints in your control arms....also the s14 strut mount bolts on the top of the spindle are bigger...invest in a hard drill bit and open up the holes a bit on your struts..other than that no worries...oh and be very careful tightening your ball joints and tie rod ends down..it is a big no-no to use an impact..didnt believe the service manual and learned the hard way...good luck on the swap..also dont worry about swapping the s14 rear calipers s13/14/15 all use the same rear calipers and same diameter rotors..only difference is one is 4-lug and the other 2 are 5-lug--front brakes either go with 300zx or q45 calipers and rotors..the calipers on the q bolt right up..the z brakes require you to change the brake line from the body to the caliper

thanks for the info bro most people on here are pretty cool like yourself surprised no 1 flamed me lol i looked in search i cant find if its worth it or not tho lol so thats why i posted thanks for the spiffy info tho do u think its worth the 500?

just as comparison, i got 300zx front rotors and calipers and lines, and the entire rear hub assembly including rotors calipers and e-brake for both sides for 400$.

is the guy gonna do the swap? if its just for the parts then you can find them cheaper elsewhere..there are alot of swaps from several cars available ...if he is gonna put the stuff on for you then 500 isnt bad..pressing the joints and slotting the front struts takes a few min...hehehe esp if you dont have the right equip the first time...no prob on the info..any question, in my opinion, just ask..the search button doesnt work most of the time..good luck on the swap..i think the 5 lug is worth 500 if you have the money..just for the brake upgrade and the availability of better and bigger rims..it all depends on your budget...btw i paid about 490.00 for all 4 s15 spindles and brakes and q45 frt calipers on ebay..then 52 on autozone lower ball joints and did the work myself...so yeah i think it is worth it
