I don't want to sound like a dumb@$$ but are those 5-lug conversions they sell on ebay convert it to the same lug dimensions as the s14? just curious, I need to plan my upgrade strategy.

On another note, I've been thinking about my suspension. Would anybody know which would be more advantageous for drifting? I've been looking at the HKS Hypermax RS or the Tein Super Drift coilovers. Those are well within budget.

What I'm really looking for are the Kei Office D1 Spec coilovers. Does anybody know where to get any of those coilovers anymore? Why did Tsuchiya sell it to Ogura Clutch? ughh...

Search for 5 lug conversion. Nico sponsors sell the 5 lug conversion as well. You'll be good to buy some z32 rear hubs.

Neither, HKS is over priced and the Tein's are mediocre compared to the Stance and KTS that they're competing against in that price range.

Kei Office is no longer. Tsuchiya has a new company DG5

I GOT THOSE OVERPRICED HKS AND I'M VERY HAPPY WITH IT.I ASSUME IF YOU ARE GOING TO SET IT UP FOR DRIFTING, IT WON'T BE YOUR DAILY DRIVER, RIGHT?CUZ THOSE DRIFT SPRINGS ARE TOO HARD FOR DAILY, I THINK...

If you have the money then just call up JRZ and get them to send you a set of 2-way coilovers. You can pick your spring rates for $30-$50 a spring from eibach, i would start with something like 600lb front and 400lb rear assuming you might still drive the car on the street once in a while. The JRZ's will allow you to adjust the bound and rebound separately and give you much more flexability than any 1-way coilover from Tien or HKS. You can also get them re-valved if you find yourself riding around with the rebound maxed out all the time. Plus if you ever do any track events JRZ offers full track side support to anyone who buys their product. For anyone who doesnt know, they are the sister company to Moton and are just as well made but alittle less expensive.

But with JRZ coilovers, decient spring rates, some adjustable suspension components, and some stiff and possibly adjustable sway bars you can make the car do anything you want. You can make it stick, or you can make it slide, but if you dont know what you are doing it will handle like crap so read up! You are going to want to be able to adjust the front and rear toe, front and rear camber, just go as far as you can with the caster without causing any unecessary wear and the rest of the adjustments will be in the coilovers. If you know what you are doing with this stuff you can make the car handle as well as your average Grand Am Cup car. Find a really nice book on suspension!

Thanks for the suggestions. i'm really thinking about those HKS's. Yeah I know they are a bit pricey and yes, I know they aren't too good for daily, but I am setting up for drift and how many people can say they have HKS coilovers.

I do want to check out DG5 though. Time to google.

Not many people can say they've got HKS anymore. Most of the folks that had them couldn't get them rebuilt stateside so they got the KTS and Stance now. lol
