5 lug question again..i've seached..

ONLY for ADVANCED technical discussion about the 240sx!

i know there's alot of information on this topic ...but the information is so scattered that i can't made heads or tails with it...

before i goto the local nissan dealership and order my hubs i want to clear up a few things..

i have a 1995 240sx Non-ABS 4 lug setup...i want 5 lug setup

from what i can understand...all i need are the 5 lug hubs from a S14 240sx...and it's a direct swap..just the hubs..no spindles...

the picture below shows the base model 4 lug hub from a S14 in the middle and nice shiny new one is from a 5 lug hub from a S14...i do not have ABS..and i think the teeth on the 5 lug hub is for the ABS...am i correct???

yes, the teeth are for ABS. There should be versions without them available. Just get the cheaper one.

Yeah i know what you mean Dan ... i want big wheels and 300zx brake upgrade on all four wheels...i didn't want to redrill my rotors for 4 lug application...that just doesn't sound right...especially for something that's suppose to be stopping your car....i'm sure drilling for 4 lug is fine but not for me...

i'm not entirely sure about the 300zx upgrade in the rear...i know it's not neccessary but it would be nice...

How do you get those dam things off? My FSM is horrible at giving directions. What are exactly the spindles?

i believe you remove the round cap thingy at the end of your asle with a small screwdriver and there's a big nut in there you have to undo...not sure though but i'll let you know when i do it...i'm going to try to get a digi cam to document since there's not all the much info in this swap

i still have to buy the hubs and try to find some SE rims and then ill do my 5lug /300z upgrade all at once...

i'm doing the 300zx upgrade with the 5 lug conversion. i haven't found wheels yet .... do you think i can find some steelies that will fit...i might need spacers....

im lookin for the OE 16" SE rims myself... but i cant find any cheap enough. Guess no1 with aftermarket rims has a big enough heart to help out a fellow S14 owner that just wants theyre old wheels sittin in the back of their garage.

i just want something cheap too...if i can fit steelies on there that'll be great .. this guy at my work has a brand new Jag XK8...the rims on that thing are bad a.s.s....i want them..

I have a couple of sets of 5 lug hubs, used. 250 plus shipping per set. All you need is the hubs for S14's, no spindles.
