I have a fast question, will a S14 SE rear hub bolt-on the S13 rear? If not how do i get the rear to work, and if i swap the rear spindle with the S14 would i have to buy new shocks for the S14 or modify the S13 suspension? Thanks

Yes the S14 uprights (untitled.bmp) will bolt up find. A note on the Z32 upright. The plus is they are made out of aluminum the negative is that the mount for the shock is different. So you either would need Z32 rear shocks or if you have coilovers you *maybe* able to change the mount on the bottom of the shock.

thanks yeah i read on nissanperformancemag.com that the Z32 you had to get the shocks, i have a question if i when with the Z32 upright or spindle, and bought Koni shocks with some springs for the Z32 rear, would the shock bolt right up to the Z32 spindle and s13? and ofcourse get regular S13 front Koni shock with same springs

Thanks

Since you can place the ZX shocks in with no problems you should be ok. I would address with Koni what you are doing just to give them the whole picture so they can get it right the first time. Be sure to get something tuned for the 240sx (spring rate, etc) so it wont make the 240sx too unstable (unless its what you are looking for) . Lay it out and any shock company should be able to address your questions and get you setup right the first time. ;)

Sorry, I do not have the part number. Looks like you will have to call up Nissan on that one.Just be sure to give them the model year for the S14 and that you want the 5-lug hub's for the rear. I don't think there is a change in the hub between the front and the rear so you can try this part number: 40200-0V010I got it from:Project Nissan Siliva They specified those as being the front hub's. Worth a shot if it seems Nissan is useless in trying to find something.

Good luck.

a 5 lug hub from an S14 or a Z32 will fit the S13 hub (as per the first reply). The thread deteriorated into what to do for swapping the whole rear upright. One thing I was wondering about was answered in this post, the Z32 rear damper will fit a 240sx. I was worried that the dampers may have been different lengths. Now I just need money

Keep in mind that if you just buy the hub shown in the first pic you will have to have a machine shop press the old 4lug hub out of your bearing and press the new one in.

I can also say that the shock mount point on the S14-SE spindles is different than the S13-SE. It is very similar, but different. It is almost like a special bolt holds the lower shock on for the S14, but with the S13 it is a stud and nut. Hard to describe, but because of it, I just used my original S13 spindles with S14 bearings and 5bolt flanges. Keep in mind that the bearings are the same, but this way involves no machine work.

so to answer a basic question: i can't just go to nissan and order the 5 lug jubs for an S14 and bolt them directly to an S13 and put rotors and wheels and go ? ? thanks.
