5 inch muffler tip by poweredbymax?

hi, i just went on poweredbymax.com and i found the "max muffler"

-it has a 3 inch inlet and 5 inch tip, do you think that'd be too ugly and too loud on a s13 coupe?

its a canister style too, i never seen anyone with these, and i already ordered a magnaflow but it wont be shiped till tomorrow, but tell me what you guys think about it.

5" tip? ultra ricer status. my ebay one is 3" piping and 4.5" tip and it's still pretty big. i would look for like 4" tip or something but i would just stay away from fartcans in general from now.

^YES. for that money, just get yourself a ebay full catback exhaust instead of a muffler. or better yet, just save up for a brm exhaust or something with dual tip unless you really want the canister style then get hks hi power or something.

here is my magnaflow i bought, do you guys think this is ok?

its the 14832 model w/ 4 inch diameter tip, and 4 inch tip length.

do you guys think this is better? i got it for 84 dollars shipped.

I have the ApexI N1 and it has around a 5in tip and its not to bad sounding. but i also have a RB25 so idk about the KA

Not unless you are running a Cummins Turbo Diesel. PBM makes some good stuff, their exhaust is not one of them, keep looking.

The 5" is a bit big, but if you like it go with it.

Now, that Magnaflow you already bought is very nice, i'd stick with that personally.

What's the inlet on it? 3" too? Where do you plan to get the rest piped up at? Most muffler shops crush bend which sucks, so you might be better off just getting a mandrel-bent $180 ebay stainless catback, like from japanimportshop (3" stainless, no resonator, 4.5" tip, great fitment.)

i have decided, i want to ordre the power by max 5 inch muffler,i mean i can always return it if it looks amazignly ugly, as far as it sounds, its a hit or miss situation, if it sounds ugly ill just find a silencer for it LOl. but yeah, ill just call off my magnaflow order, ill hit u guys up w/ the news.

hopefully 5 inches isnt too much.

Ive got two 5 inch borla mufflers on my 3000GT and thery look fine to me.Ofcourse i do have a body kit on it, and it is lowered,not to mention the 3000GT is a much wider car then the 240sx.That being said,i think it will look fine,dont worry bout it.

if you have a ka please dont. it will be super loud and obnoxious especially at anything lower than 3k.

I think that tip will look alrite with a big snowplow bodykit but on a stock s13, it's gonna stick out and look funny IMHO.
