5 day old Murano and I think moon roof took a dump?

First off I must say the owners manual is very thick and full of useless info unless you are totally ignorant when it comes to seat belts and child restraint. which is the majority of this manual.There, I feel a little better.I would like to start out by stateing what the roof does.Moon roof closed,Press to 1st detent to open-shades open. /press to second detent and the glass opens but I have to hold the total time or it will stop when I let go. /push to close first detent and glass closes then shades close. / From all open if I press the closed to second detent glass will only close if I hold button. /from all closed I press on tilt and the shades open and thats all, it doesnt tilt no matter what I try.The owners manual is total useless as far as any reset options if there actually are any for a partially operational roof panel.Anyone else have issues with a 2009 moonroof?Maybe I bought someones clunker trade in. or Im a totally idiot. Please no comment on that. Thanks for any advice

Welll I am a partial idiot.I did get it to reset and seems to work normal.I have no idea what would cause it to need resetting.I dont even remeber what I did to get it to work other than pushing the buttons in random order like my daughter did before.Hey wait a minute? could it be?
