Just wanted to post this because someone said they were looking for a cheap boost controller. Go to Petsmart/Petco and get a (perferably metal) 4-way gang valve, where the fish tank stuff is (I believe they are around $6, no more than $10). With all four valves open you can do 15psi. I have one and works fine. A buddy uses one over his $200 greddy electronic boost controller because you get no spikes in boost.

That's the ole fashioned bleed valve boost controller. The problem is that they are fairly hard to control. I guess its ok that with all the valves open you only boost 15psi. Often when you try the boost lower the valves will move with vibration and the boost will climb uncontrolled. You are also thowing metered air out, so every bit of boost/vacumme you are leaking out/sucking in is causing the engine to run richer. Possibly making the car run like crap at idle and tween shifts.

The other downside is that the wastegate will already be opening before you hit 15psi. A ball spring or electronic boost controller will open after hitting 15psi giving you better response.

PS: hope yer keeping an eye on the air/fuel ratios so to don't go lean at that level or boost...we all know what will happen if you don't.
