I bought a 5 bolt flange for my turbo but what the problem is that the turbo has a 5 bolt flange but it is larger than the one that I had bought. Does anyone no where or have a large 5bolt flange?

hey man i'll be moving out there not to long from not lots of fam in so cal but i'll be nor cal for school most companies out there that make a cast one have been around for a while but it's better to save and get good parts or pay for it later try to avoid polished stainless steel manifolds that you see for $50 to $150 most cast ones are usually $300 and up but it's worth it

yeah tj's was aight

If you're running a Tial EXTERNAL wastegate, then you'll want the flange without the hole (gotta cover it up).

I used 370's and SAFC2 for 2 years with no ill effect. Engine has nearly 200k miles, some nasty blow-by and when you remove the oil cap, it feels like an exhaust pipe output from the valve cover. But she still runs smoothly. No damage, just wear.

Currently I have a different setup, about which I'll be giving a full review soon. I have a forged engine nearly ready to drop in (fully balanced/blueprinted/ported/etc.), along with some other goodies. Once it's all complete, I'll tune up on the new system and give a full report (after DeviousKA reviews for himself).

Honestly, the turbo just starts gettin' slightly happy around 10psi. The 8psi I've been running on this tired old engine and small injectors is nothin' to sneeze at, but it's not the best operating range for the turbo. I'd say, with the wear on the engine now, it's somewhere around 220whp. On a good engine, it should be more like about 250-260whp.

The built engine, after breaking in on this setup, will be stepped up to 740cc injectors with a track boost level of 20psi + slicks or DR's. That, combined with 2-step launch (8-10psi and 4000rpm limit) should feel much better. Obviously, the daily driven boost will be more modest, around 12psi.

well i had rebuilt the engine last year and i only have about 8000 miles on the rebuild compression and everything checked out ok i'm looking to make about 250 to 280 whp.

I think 280 is a bit high for no timing control. 250 would be the limit for me, as well for the 370's.

But that's just me.
