5 Bolt Axle Compatibility

Okay, I know there are a ton of threads on axles out there, but I did not see the answer to this after searching for quite a while.

Here is the scoop. I have a 93 240sx hatch with open diff. The previous owner gave me a VLSD with 5 bolt axles from a Canadian 240sx, but one of the axles is damaged. The diff bolted in perfect and everything, but I need a 5 bolt axle. My question is:

1. 93 J30 5 bolt axles- will these work as a substitute? I believe the will from my research, but not positive.

2. 5 bolt s14 axles- from an s14 with VLSD. These look to be the exact same axles from the pics. Can anyone confirm for me that these axles would work?

Thanks in advance for the help- really hoping the s14 axles will work since I have access to a set right now, but do not have immediate access to a J30 axle.

iam not sure with the j30's but my bro has

them.i think his fit out just fine as long it is the

5 bolt.

but what i used was from a 300zx non-turbo

and i took the VLSD and the axles of course.

and went up fine. i not sure about the s14's

but if you have access to them to try them out.

i have a five bolt axle on the passenger side. and a six bolt on the other. i got a five bolt diff with only one five bolt axle for the passenger side. so i took the driver six bolt flange out of my open diff and cut the leagnth so it would fit int to my vlsd diff and it works. so just get a six bolt flange out of your open diff and put it in and use you six bolt axle.

hmm, Id like to keep the axles the same if I can. Thanks for the advice. I picked up a set of 5 bolt axles on ebay, so hopefully they will work.
