so i want 17 in wheels on the Q45 after i nearly *)%*^&*^)&^^&%'ed the car up sliding to a stop on the 15's
with millimeters to spare,
are these blades the same as found on Q45 or different due to weight of the car??

Its not the size of the wheel, but the quality of the tires that affect traction! Granted, the better tires are to be found once you get to the larger diameter wheel sizes.....if you plan on keeping the car for years,it might be safer to go with a 18 inch wheel,as 15,16 and sooner rather than later,17 will decline in popularity with top end tires. The trend seems to be larger and larger diameter wheels,at the expense of worse ride quality and crazy high tire replacement costs, even for everyday family sedans!

In a word, no on the wheels. Get the Infiniti Q45 ones (.5" wider and stronger), although you have to be aware there was a recall for cracking.

There are good after market wheels like BBS ($$$) and OZ Racing ($) and even Rays ($$$). Get 18"x8.5" or 9" if you go this way.

And don't cheap out on the tires! :slap:

thanks for the info,

sprung for a set of 350Z wheels(17) last night, cheap 200 bucks, getting new tires today, (continentals)
15" bridgstones are junk only 6 months old and cant stop this barge, unfortunately no high perf
tires in 15 size anymore, hopefully 17 will be ok in rain now,
I need to re-test in slick conditions and fig out why i had lockup and subsequent spin,
I really didint want to go bigger due to more exp to replace, deterioration in handling (IMHO) and car now getting unwanted attention by thieves, oh well next stop nappa for steering lock

Continental DW or ContiSport 3 (don't think 5 are out in the US, yet). Personally, I would go with a Michelin PE if there is one. These cars tear up weak tire casings,
