I just changed the rear brake pads on my 5/94 Q45. However, it had a brake sensor on the passenger pad. According to the parts store it should not. Thsy stopped putting the sensor on 2/94 models. Thanks for the help.

Did your replacement pads come with a electrical or mechanical {metal clip} sensor?

If you don't have the wire (and it wasn't removed before you purcahsed the car or shorted), then you shouldn't have the sensors. If you have the sensors, you will see a display light in the dashboard.

It does have the sensor. However, it was made in 05/2006. I tied the sensor to the body.

Huh?

In any case, you have the wrong pad, or should have employed the sensor. Your call if you are attentive to your car.
