Just bought a 2003 SE, the shifter does not seem to go into gear as smooth as it should.

Is this common? And recommended serivce? Can it be lubricated? And where?

1/2 mechanically inclined, so please explain in detail if possible. Thanks to all.

check all your clutch lines for leaks and see what the free play in your pedal is if thats all good then you may need to adjust the linkage or just replace the clutch you can also check the shifter at its base and put new grease there

does it grind at all? because you may just need to have the transmission flushed.

It doesnt really grind, it just feels like there is a little too much resistence going into its gear position.

Mine is a little notchy too. They all do it. Redline MT90 is supposed to be good in there but I haven't done it myself yet.
