Really though, if the engine would fit, just put a t45 transmission behind it and use megasquirt to run the engine.
Well, the fact that you're spreading misinformation doesn't help anybody. The 5.4 triton v8 is part of the ford "mod" motor family of engines. Mod meaning modular. the 4.6 and 5.4 v8 engines from ford are modular, meaning, they are like lego's. Mostly, anything from engine A will bolt to engine B. It's not a big block. Ford doesn't put a "big block" into anything anymore. They haven't since 1998ish. The 6.8L (not a big block) is a v-10 engine, and still, technically part of the mod motor family, as it has the same architecture.vocationalzero wrote:Doesn't help the 5.4 is a big block motor either...
plus the navi heads work better than the b heads on a 5.4. also if you run the b heads on a 5.4 you are pretty much stuck paying WAY to much for an mmr intake. however at least it braces the valley to keep the block from splitting i'm still toying with the idea.killernoodle wrote:The navigator engine is 5.4 liters and already has dohc.

sounds like a fun set up though.
well its just a safety inspection here obd1 cars. There easy to bs, and the only time the boys In blue ever pop your hood is if your caught street racing.450SX! wrote:Don't know what laws are like where you live but in cali you can not put a truck motor in to a car legally. any engine/trans package from a car can be done as long it is the same year as or newer than the chassis it is going into. the vehicle classification of a car vs. truck is the problem.
