No was LSX was a nick name used for Generation 3 and 4 small blocks.... but in 2007 GMPP went into production with a block called the LSX available in 427 and 454 (in stock) and custom order 363 to 511 cubic inch, 6 bolt mains, 6 head bolts per cylinder, and a high grade iron with stronger gussets, and improved oiling system.. GM had factory tested them at 2400 crank horsepower on an engine dyno, but people have broken 3000hp with them.
It's a performance block based on the Gen 3 / 4 design with characteristics of the C5R block (windage and drain back improvements)
