decided to throw up a quick post of some eclipse components into stock location using slightly moded stock speaker holders. I used an angle grinder with a cutoff wheel to make quick work of modding the stock holders.

Wow. Never thought of that. Way better sound staging too, like kick panels. Do notice the difference? I think I am going to copy your idea!

a tad less bass but everywhere else is a ton better than the old stockers the cone was seperating from the surround, I could probly get a touch more bass out of them if I put some sort of sound deadaning on the doors

I was just gonna say that. Although a good component set is mainly mid-range sound, not too bass-y. To get bass put a 10" or 8" sub in there somewhere. Props on the stock look.

i bought some adapters of ebay to fit 61/2 for $11.but like the angle you kept.
