Body lifts are a bit of work to do, so figure on a weekend to do it.

The bed is simple, but when doing the cab, watch wires/hoses so you don't pull them tight or pop them off, and you'll either need to relocate the fan shroud or move the radiator up too. If you take a shortcut and ditch the lower fan shroud, you may have overheating issues on hot days.

If you have a manual trans, get used to the shifter being a lot lower than where it is today.

Don't do it, if that's it in your sig it sits just right! Unless you do a lot of off roading just up size the tires.

looks good man!

^^^x2, even 15 inch rims would make a nice difference.

I wouldn't go larger than 15, but thats just my opinion. Even 14's can have larger tires. I was looking into getting some BFG all terrain KO's for 14 inch rims at one time. I think they were 28 inches tall, which is the same height as a 235/75R15, or it's thinner counterpart, the 215/75R15.

I used to have 31x10.5's on my truck. They were good for off road, but the tread was worn to the secondaries, and mud running capacities were greatly reduced. A notable thing about my stock 4wd is that 31x10.5 tires do not rub even when turned lock to lock.

Worse yet was the unsafeness of those big fat treads, which when wore this far are like slicks on wet pavement. I spun out on a corner one time and took out a mailbox and yield sign. That was when I decided to get new tires.

The big tires are cool, but my truck came with 4.63 gears. Your 2wd has taller ratios and 28 less HP, so tires as big as 31's would be too big IMO. I would stick with some 28's, on whatever rim size you choose.

15 inch rims with 215/75R15 tires would probably be the most economical/practical choice.

haha thanks guys. I am not keeping the H190 axle in the rear. I am actually looking for a 4x4 transmission with xfer case or a divorced transmission and doing an SAS and getting a Bigger Rear end axle...

Unsafeness of big treads...and that comment was made about 31s?

Geez, my two trucks on 33s and solid axles must just be public safety hazards then....

You can't increase ground clearance without larger tires. That said, the points made about gear ratios are valid. As for 4x4....that's what low range is for.

^^The tires that were on my truck when I bought it were 31's that hadn't been rotated in so long that the back ones were worn flat across, and because of this actually had a smaller diameter than the fronts. Whoever had it before me neglected it for some reason. They were the most worn down 31's I have ever seen somebody run.

I didn't know 4x4's yet, so it didn't occur to me the importance of each tire being worn down exacty the same(or almost exaclty). These ones were wayyyyy off. There was probably an 1/8th inch of tread left on the back tires, and a rotation was out of the question because of how badly worn they were. It was sad really.

Thankfully, the diametric differences didn't fck up my driveline, and I just got new tires. So I wasn't speaking for all big tires, just ones that were worn to the point of being almost like slicks. Newer ones should surely be better, right?
