First off not sure if this is right part of forum to post this, if not please move it administrator.

Hi I have a 1995 Nissan Pickup XE 4 Cyl 2.4L. First off, it doesn't have very much power, how would I increase the horse power? I cannot find a super charger for it, I found a chip for it

but I don't know if that will help any. Is there a way, short of replacing motor, that I can do to get more HP?

And also, the 4x4 isn't engaging. What could be the problem here? We have done the switches on the front wheels, but it just doesn't seem to work.

I'm not sure about the 4x4 operaration.
However, the 2.4 has good power so you may want to check mechanical aspects of your engine.
Such as worn or missing timing chain guides.

Yes my worn guides threw the timing off enough that it lost power and had a kind of flat spot right at 2 grand on the tach. Once chain and guides replaced the power is noticeably better just in time for AC weather. AC used to kill the power it had now I hardly notice a drop with AC on. besides chain and guides check all vacuum lines they can rot and crack over time and kill power and mileage

OK thanks ill check the timing on it and all the hoses. We just recently bought it from somebody that left it outside all the time, the tires were rotting and we had to replace them so I am thinking it is either the hoses or the timing. Thanks for the help!
