So here is the scoop, my 1999.5 pathfinder wont shift above the neutral position.
I've always driven in neutral with occasional shift into 4lo (because I can't go into 4hi or 2hi). She hasn't ever been off road, I'm the second owner with all the recalls done, and it is at 415,000km.
It physically will not move the stick above neutral and I've tried everything. Any helpful tips, or know why its not letting my shift?

If you were driving it in neutral, I suspect maybe your linkage is thrown off. I don't believe you can drive the car in neutral.

Wow maybe was stunned this while time. If I can't drive with the 4x4 shifter in neutral... it was in 2 the whole time. Which means, I was in 4hi not 4lo when I switched....

Can't drive with the transfer case in neutral. Try depressing the shift knob.
