4x4 hardbody coilover conversion

-does anyone have any info on this kind of conversion being done?
-will frontier aftermarket coils work w/coustom fab?

truck: 91' hardbody extra cab.w/trailmaster 3" lift, 31x10.5x15 tires.

any input you want to give me would be cool

I have found a thread on 4x4parts.com fourms.

The guy who has done this conversion has used the following parts....

-FOX shocks-2.0 pro series coil over/10" travel shocks w/piggyback res. (dont know if he used 5/8" shaft or 7/8" shaft) - $385.00

-EIBACH-700lbs springs - $65.00

ALL MOUNTS WERE CUSTOM FABRICATED!
But as far as i know the top mounts were mounted 8" above the frame and the bottom mounts were fabricated with a steel plate across the LCA and the lower mount(which is a sheared shaped to go over the half shaft)welded onto the plate. As for the shocks going through the UCA he has cut out to make clearance of about 1/4" from the spring. Yes, he has beefed up the UCA unknown of how though. Yes he did remove the torsion bars! =)


I'm going to try it out!haha hopefully it turns out the same.
but i'll try copy and post his picks of his setup.

Cool information. I'd love to turn my Frontier into a rock crawler but I have to keep it my daily so no serious mods for me.

you should but just a small lift and some 31's like my truck. =)

I use it as a daily driver too. haha
