Hello, new guy to your forum from Prince George BC

We've got a 99 QX4 we love and use as our family wagon, but the snow is on the way and the 4wd won't engage!

My wife found some great instructions on here for recovering the codes when the orange 4wd light comes on, we followed them and got a 5 and 14. I lost my notes but I think 5 was the transfer case switching motor.

We have the 99 model with a floor shifter and dash switch 2wd-auto-lock

The dash icon with the 4 green wheels has gone out and only the 4 low will engage with some grinding, I've looked at all 3 relay/fuse boxes but I'm not sure which relay is the switching motor?

Has anyone else run into this issue? Any help would be appreciated, 4wd is a must in this country.

Thank, Rod

Thanks for that link, very helpful manual. But it looks like the infiniti has a different set up than the pathfinder for switching to 4wd. Our fuse boxes are laid out different too.
