4WD question

Hey All

I have a 2000 pathy and it does not have the button switch to 4wd (4H, 4L), I have the gear lever. Now my question is how do you get to 4H? I know how to get to 4L, which is when I pull the lever down....Am I doing something wrong because the level head has the set up as

2W (i think) N 4H 4L

Or something in that order, but I can only pull it down one and then to neutral and 2WD

I'm no't sure that I am following you entirely. It sounds like you are saying that you can get to "4H", but you wrote "4L". Under normal operation, you should be able to pull the lever from 2H to 4H while stopped or driving under 45mph with no problems.

To move from 4H to 4L, you need to be in neutral and stopped or moving less than 5mph. To get out of 4L, the same rules apply, put the transmission in neutral and shift to 4H.

How do I get from 2h to 4l and 2h to 4h? The lever seems to only go down to neutral and then one below

Is it two pulls of the lever or one? If I have to go to 4h or 4l do I have to be stopped or in neutral, I usually make a complete stop and then switch, but again I can pull the lever down once and it stops

are you pushing down too? What you need to do is to get to 4HI from 2HI it goes

Do not push the physical lever down (towards the floor) you just pull it about 1 inch or so back, towards the back of the vehicle. Thats 4hi. Then to get into N you have to push down and pull back, same to get into 4lo.
