I started a thread recently with similar issue. My 4was and stability lights came on. Both went away after a restart and has been off since then. If yours stays on after shutting the car It may need to be looked at.

Sorry, I don't have much more to offer.

So I finally went to dealer and they diagnose codes c1138,c1930,c1631 which are in ITB-12-038.Dealer recommended to change whole 4WAS control unit and because I don't have warranty quote came in $2,570.....

Please don't be offended.
Not to rub salt, but this and many other technical, electrical, and just plain expensive repairs should scream: extened warranty to all of us. I paid about 3k for my used 07 M35 and it goes until 130k miles or Sept 2015, whichever comes first. I haven't needed had any repairs yet but I'm sure I will recoup that investment sooner or later.

Why wouldn't a 2012 still be under warranty for electrical issues? How much on the odometer?

White-Rush. Just a heads up, get it before you hit 30k miles and before April 2014 for best price.

That is the first question that also popped into my head. All US Infiniti vehicles are covered bumper-to-bumper for 4 years and 60K miles, which is fully transferable to subsequent owners. Has the OP got more than 60K on a 2012 M37 in no more than two years? :gotme If he is doing that kind of mileage then he definitely should be buying extended warranty coverage!!

This thread really shouldn't be an extended warranty discussion, but in support of the OP's apparent lack of warranty, my extended warranty did NOT pay for itself, because my car was reliable well beyond the warranty mileage, just for the record. Also, high miles on a young car make an extended warranty even less likely to pay for itself because electronics generally fail with time, not miles, and time takes its toll on everything else, too, so getting the mileage out of the way quickly makes it less likely that the extended warranty will pay for itself.

Thank you Dustin! In general, I don't think warranties pay for themselves, because most the time the stuff that's covered normally won't fail... Many extended warranties (including the basic CPO warranty from Infiniti) doesn't cover electronics...

Hopefully the OP posts back some more information so we can solve this problem!!! Unfortunately according to the TSB it looks like there may be no way around this, however might be able to save a bit of money by buying the part from a discounted OEM parts place and having the labor done by an independent shop...

Looks like the ABS actuator is about $1200 new... It would be interesting to see what is actually wrong with the ABS actuator that causes this. My guess it's electrical, after only 2 years it's unlikely it's worn out!
