4th gen engine swap

what engine can possiably fit in a 4th gen???? and is it worth the time and the money to do an engine swap?

First it's deff worth it, with the swap low 13's 1/4 are easily attainable.Any 2000-2006 FWD Max or Altima engine will fit with only some slight modifications. Or you can go Hybrid, 4thgen heads and 3.5 bottom Like I did. Pics of my swap herehttp://www.cardomain.com/ride/530800

Yup it sure can, beware tho my Auto had 130.000 on the odo and I toasted 1st and 2nd in one day under normal driving conditions. So I went for the 4thgen 5spd.

my tanny is basically new. cause it has maybe 50k on it now.

I heard the power gained in 5th generation maximas in the 3.0(not 3.5) was from the better designed intake manifold. if so, can I put this Manifold on my 99' Maxipad and expect big hp gains?

Not "big" gains, but it is definitely worth the install.There's an excellent how-to for installing the 5th gen variable intake on 4th gen written by a member here:zerothread?id=121423

With a 00VI & weak tune my gains were 20wtq from 3500-4800 RPM and 15whp peak at redline. That not big enough for ya?
