if you guys are joing our caravan ... SAN DIEGO > CERRITOS > INDUSTRY > SANTA MONICA ... we have came to a location for the Santa Monica spot ... kuz they were having some even at Virginia park ... so we moved it ... so here is the information to the new spot: ...
HBL wrote:OK, yesterday I went out to SM to scope out Virginia Park and alternate locations for our staging area. First off, I want to recommend to all groups NOT to go Virginia Park. I checked with the parking attendants there. They told me the saturday Farmers Market is from 8AM-1PM. They see their heaviest traffic and parking around 10AM. That's about the same time we will arrive in SM.

After looking around I think our best bet is an area adjacent to John Adams Middle School. It's behind Santa Monica College on Pearl Ave between 20th St and 16th St. There's a huge row of metered parking on the north end of the school. (don't worry the meters are only in effect Mon-Thurs)

Getting there is pretty simple. It's not too far from Virginia Park.

Google Maps

Take left on Cloverdale offrampTurn right on Pico BlGo down to 20th St turn leftGo to Pearl hang a right.

Sat recon pic of the staging area. The parking row is empty on Saturday.

Somethings to keep in mind. This is a residential area. We will only be there for a short time. Let's leave a good impression with the locals. SO........

No revving enginesNo loud musicNo burnoutsNo open hoodsThere are 3 mild speed bumps along 20th St so be ready for themSMCC has a campus police sub-station just a few doors down from where we will be staging on Pearl. Everyone plz be on your best behaviour.

Leaving for Oxnard will be simple. We just go back up north on 20th St. to SM freeway. There is a westbound on ramp there.

Quote »and if i go theres really nothing i could do there..cept for eat and smoke??[/quote]Well, I guess that's something you have to decide for yourself. You cansit at home and eat and smoke, or come hang out with 200 Nissan owners and eat and smoke. Easy decision for me, lol. Besides, it's oncea year...if you aren't willing to drop one tank of gas on a trip to hangout with lots of other enthusiasts, then you might not be an enthusiastyourself, in which case, you're right. You wouldn't have fun just chillin.

Maybe you can sacrifice some smokes and save up some gas money. What else are you suppose to do there.....other than eat and smoke. It's just going to be a badass meet that you shouldn't miss.

For someone who is going to break the world record in posts sometime soon, I can't believe you would even consider not going.

Who's is going to read your posts while we're cruising down Highway 1? LOL

Yeah, I'll be there. I'm going up Friday and staying in a hotel. I'll have the 510 towed and meet up with the caravan somewhere along Highway 1 on Saturday.

Hey Tyler, you punk ***. If I end up going down there, she can rollwith me. I'm not sure if I'm going yet or not though, I might have togo to a company thing in SB that day.

Edit: I just realized this could be a different Tyler, lol. If so, sorry. But I figured there can't be that many Tylers from the central coastwho own 240s.
