well over this upcoming winter i plan on doing the ICHIBA 5 lug conversion on my 92 s13 and when i do that of course i'll have to buy new wheels. before i had plans of doing the 5 lug conversion i wanted to get some 17x9.5's in the back and 17x8 in the front. but with the 5 lug i'll be able to get better offsets and widths. My plan is also to get over fenders along with possibly fender flares to allow for some seriously wide tires. now anyone have any recommendations what size wheels and offset i should run on it, i'm not worried about it clearing the stock fenders cause like i said i'm modifying them but i really want to be able to fit a tire on them hanging around the 300 range or so in the width, though i really would like to get the wheels as flush to the overfenders as possible...the fenders i'll be getting in the rear are giong to be 50mm wider than stock, along with the fender flares width(not too sure how much wider those will make it). I'm really not to good with wheel&tire sizes so i'm coming to you guys, i want to know what you think and if there's any company you recommend to buy from or can refer me to get more help in this area.

yes i know that the rear end of the car is going to be waaay wider than stock, but that's what i want...i'm getting the 20mm fenders for the front and trimming some fenderflares sown to about half the width and slapping them on...everything else on the body is going to be fairly stock, no xtreme body kits, probably none at all...just mainly a fibergalss hood. i just really like a wide stance. thanks for your help guys.

My sig pict is 18x9.5in in the rear and 18x8.5in in the front. Sportmax 962's http://www.sportmaxwheel.com/sportmax_962.shtml

They are not light, but they look good and with very small mods to the rear fenders will barely fit (with the right size tires).

With over fenders, the only real limitation is your budget. You could easily run 11 inches wide in back, but its all about paying for custom sizes and offsets in such a big size. What are you trying to spend?

in my personal experience..i'd keep the 4lug.

seirously, no joke, it is alot easeier to turn 4 lugs than 5.also.. i dnt know if its just me, but i REALLY dont think 5lug is worth it unless youre trying to go baller wheels.

i have 5lugs and i dont like em..i'd trade someone my 5lugs and my wheels for their 4lug and some cash to a local.. since i cant ship these heavy things.

come on now, the difference between weight is not that much when your talking about 1 extra lug. All I know is my car rides much nicer since I went with 5lug hubs and the wheel/tire combo. I hit 0.97 g's on a turn last week.

hrm?..i dont see how 5lug makes you ride nicer and how thinner sidewalls would make your car ride nicer.

im sure yuo could pull more g's with wider stickier tires, but it doesnt necessarily mean riding nicer.

i'd switch back to 4lug unless i had good amt. of $ to spend on some nice wheels+tires.
