hey all,

i have a 1995 240 auto and want a red top sr swap. problem is, i am a mechanical idiot as far as swaps go, i can't do it myself because of lack of experience and time, my KA is about to die, and i am in chattanooga, TN, where apparently no one seems to be. i am willing to go as far as atlanta, birmingham, nashville, knoxville, or anywhere less than 3 hours for a shop that can do the swap for me, or even an individual that can do the swap for me (and i would like to have power steering and a/c running too, and the 5 spd swap). i got $4k. can anyone help me out? if you can, i will be able to show up once in a while but i got school and all, so i am stuck in chattanoga most of the time.

soo....anyone out there????

already answered your Q at zilvia. You dotn have enough money. if you payed a board member to do the swap you are looking at 2500 PLUS shipping on a clip which can be pricey depending on where its coming from. So we will say 3000. You need parts for the manual swap/ Let's say 100 for the pedals, clutch master cylinder and whatever other bull**** you need. 3100 so far. You havent gotten into any gauges, fuel pump. 3200 if you go cheap gauges off ebay. so you have 800 to pay somone. BUT oh ****, you need some new parts. Damn. so what do you do, have the person finish the swpa but cant drive it. Now you didnt do the swap or know how to fix anythign on it, SO you have to buy the part AND pay someone to fix it. Save more dough. Sure the manual swap would ebeasy since the engine will be out, but still Dont skimp on these things. My swap went in without anyhiccu-ps, but some dont get so lucky.
