Hi everyone,

A friend of mine has recently blown his lancer 4G93T 1.8l engine and is parting it out, I can get the injectors of his engine,

I'm aware (and considering as a possible upgrade for my setup) of using 450cc dsm injectors, so I thought of trying to use these injectors.

4G93T has 390cc injectors, iirc, compared to CA18DET 370cc injectors. I believe additional 20cc won't do any harm :) and can be considered as a mild upgrade.

So are the 4G93T injectors a direct drop-in into CA18 fuel rail? are they low impedance as well? would I be needing to swap the resistor, etc?

I believe they look like these:

any help appreciated.

Cheers,

- Tim

not worth the trouble. If you're gonna to to all the work to pull the fuel rail and replace injectors, and get the ECU re-tuned for injectors, it'd better be for more than an extra 20cc's. Honestly, that's so small of a diffrence, that I doubt you would gain anything from running them. And that's all assuming that they're low impedance. If they're high, you can't use them anyway.

so this should be considered only as a stock replacement?

forgot to mention - ecu megasquirt & my engine is sitting in the garage..

did some more research, bumped into an thread on zilvia http://zilvia.net/f/tech-talk/134996-af ... hread.html

looks likes they are low impedance as well. I guess I'll give it a try, just to gain experience.
