i ran into a thread topic on a different forum ...but i lost the link

someone said that the 4age ports can match up the ca18det port with minor mods. can anyone confirm this ?

if they are close..... how close are we talking ? anyone have pictures or measurements??

4age has two different kinds of intake ports...small and big

ca18det has 8 port and 4port

i use to have all the 4age stuff here .....but i gave it all away...

I vaguely remember seeing a 4AG intake off. The theory is the same but actually mating up I am not sure. The CA has 8 ports the same size though.

I know exhaust ports are pretty close. My buddy with an MR2 wanted to get a cheap CA18DET turbo manifold and weld a 4age flange to it...

If they work let me know too. I can't get any help from Nissan here. The Germans don't want to seem to help me out either and this is making it quite difficult to get those stupid gaskets. I actually need a couple too, so if they work I will be getting those instead of trying to find these dumb 4 port gaskets from here. The more parts I try to get for the CA here the more they are telling me to go to the dealer and they suck.

I was just wondering why not just get a gasket made out of high temp plastic like those Honda "heatshield" gaskets. Something like this http://hondata.com/heatshieldgasket.html If I ever get enough cash to get a 4port CA18 head, I'd probably get one made.

sorry no pics ...my phone died.....

the opening is very close ........but as far as how far its spaced apart .....it dont match up ......also the bolt pattern dont match up either.........its was worth a try ......only cost me 15 bucks .....so not much of a loss.......muahaha i can still return it.....but ill keep them for future mad scientist experiments......

so no luck on the 4 port gasket ?? .....i was looking on them i think i can make it with gasket paper and a blade........but what sucks is where the injector opening is .....its right in the middle .........

thats a very good idea.........dropping the temp on those would be nice ..........but how do i get them to custom make it for a 4 port head ? do they have a sheet i cant carve it out on?? i guess i can give em a call ...
