Ok here's the deal. I got these injectors from a dsm head not sure what year, but I automatically assumed they where low impedence but on checking they measure 13.7-13.8 ohms. From the stamp on the side (inp 480) it seems that they are 480cc nippondenso injectors possibly from a S15. This is my first experience with a ca18det so I want to make it as potent and reliable as possible. In order to use these injectors I would have to eliminate the resistor pack. Does anyone have any experience running high impedence injectors on the ca18det, stock chipped ecu. I expect to generate about 240hp not whp for the daily drive. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I have considered the following basic theory:

1. High impedence, side feed = higher heat dissipated, therfore to keep cooler better inside fuel rail.

2. Low impedence, top feed = lower heat dissipated, most of the heat dissipated in resistor pack.

3. High impedence, top feed = ???

Blue tops are 450cc's out of a DSM. atleast the DSM injectors I have are 450's and blue tops.

are they stamped the same, i.e. (inp 480) or is the stamp on the 450s different.

Let me go look, nope, they say on the side like -008 or something and bp450 on the other side which tells me they are 450's, I just assumed since you got them from a DSM guy they may be 450s and he lied to you.

Sorry no, I didnt buy them from someone, I pulled them off a head from a blown dsm motor, from what year car I'm not sure. I'm assuming the previous owner upgraded to these injectors. In my searches the closest match I can come up with is s15 480cc injectors. I would like to use them if possible with the stock ecu minus the resistor pack. Since I expect them to dissipate more heat in the confined ca18det im area, I'm going to try to remain around 70% duty cycle. Just curious if anyone has done this with good results. i.e. Stock chipped ecu, bigger high imp injectors, minus resistor pack.

Well bad news for me. Just confirmed that these are not s15 injectors. They are mitsubushi injectors but are rated at 220cc, part number INP-480.
