Not with a twin turbo 4.5 liter V8 in it.

Would a 240Z with an SR20 stuck in it be a silvia? How about a 240sx with an RB25 in it....would that be a skyline?Or how about a miata with a 13b in it...does that magically become an FD?

Nope.

his logic is

240sx 2.4 liter240z 2.4 liter300zx 3.0 liter

300zx with 4.5 liter= 450zx

i like the name its a way of custimizing that is logical, unlike some other ways of customizing(big spoilers, random LED on a car ect...)

ok on the S240sx, His lil breakdown shows he paid $2600 for an RB20DET! last time I checked the front cut cost half that,as for the Z I kinda doubt he's got 2 turbo's on that thing so it's be a 450ZXT, which seems like a lot of work when you could get the same power with the stock VG

ok, first of I dont buy from cheap importers that dont garantee their motors, and yes i paid 2600 total for it from James at Jarco, it had really low miles. Second are you located in Georgia because if you are then you can look for your self the 450zx is TT it has 2 twin ligin felter corvette turbos. if you wanna see my car and the 450zxtt in action, depending on if we finish in time we will be attending the race in Cordele at watermelon motor speed way. I am geting tired of people coming on a post and saying that they "know" it isnt possible, or cant be turboed, or cant be a 5 speed, about the 450zx. If you dont believe me then watch the vid i posted a while back and even better come and see the cars for yourself, i will personally give you directions. we are in conyers georgia to the east of atlanta.

oh and for the record I would love to see you get that much power out of a vg without spending a small fortune. He has at the LEAST 450 hp. a vg would have to have quiet a few mods to acheive that. all he has is a Stock VH45DE w/ 2 turboes and a 5 speed transmission and it would destroy a vg, he challenged Z-1 motorsports 300zx that they have in their shop and they declined if that says anything....

ok fior my location it's right under my name, kinda handy eh?

as for the twins, don't get your undies in a knot, I didn't see any pic's of anything close to a turbo on that car, and I'd think if someone were to add dual turbo's to the VH45 they'd have pic's like the ones at zparts.com of the VH45TT in an S30, I'd also expect a custom intake manifold lets face it the VH intake is a huge pain!

as for getting big power from the VG, there are tons of guys putting down 500 hp+ on stock blocks, just bigger turbo's injectors, I/C's and maybe managment systems, pretty much the same stuff you have to put on the VH with less fab work, I'll agree that more displacement has more potential power , untill parts break

as for Z1 you think they wait around for someone to challange one of thier cars so they can partake in a glorified pissing contest? I have met some of the people from Z1 and can't say anything bad about them, if you wanted to race them you should have come to the SEZ last weekend in Reynolds GA, I was there and so was Z1

and it's not "ligin felter" it's "Lingenfelter" as in "John Lingenfelter" may he RIP

and for the SX I thought the valvecover looked odd till I realized it was an RB20 and not the RB25 and the price seemed more suited to the latter,

not trying to bust your balls but your selling an idea cause no-one can see if it's real

One of the owners Z1 told me about your swap. He seems to really like it. He respects it. Thats all I can say. He told me it was TT. Infinity v8 motor. I didnt think it could be done. He didnt say anything bad, but he did try and advise me that I should do a swap like that. but I dont know about that one. But i believe it and i'll show some respect for something new. But I heard you had to do some serious modifactions to make it happen. Tell me what you modified? Transmission is one of which I was told. What other things?

cool thing but your car is still a 300zx

I was thinking it was going to be 350z with vg45 vq45 swap but I guess it was for a 300zx

as you can see, you can't just go around renaming things, not only will people be confused, it doesn't make sense

cool thing though, remind me of the s30 with q45 engine tt swap too

calling it a 450ZXTT makes a lot of sence.. i see the logic in it.. remember nissan came out with the 200ZR which was a Z31 or 300ZX body with an RB20 in it.. so he could call his VH45DETT powered Z32 a 450ZXTT but i gotta give you props for the swap... good job man...

in accordance to your logic, I guess I shoudl be calling my car 200sx (sr20) then, not to be confused with um.... 200sx (rb20)

I always wanted a 250sx (rb25) or a 260sx (rb26) though

Yep, it's my car and I am selling it. Might have a buyer already if all goes well, so I might have to pull the auction unless someone "buys it now" before I get payment from this potential buyer. My asking price is cheap if you know anything about Z32's and the plethora of parts and mods completed.

that is cheap considering stock 300zx will sell for as much. It's a clean z at that

Yep. Some parts were made by him and his buddies. Not something you can order. If you like, you can search, I know he went into a little detail about it in other threads in the Z section.

But anyway, some of the parts are custom, others are from Japan....not something you can readily buy over here.
