Well the car ran good and didnt blow up, had a couple little problems, it seems the engine harness had a smashed connector and would short out intermitently but we were able to figure it out

Sean was there and got a ride along as well as helped me fix the car.

The drift event was at a local 1/8 mile drag strip and in the middle of the drifting they opened up the drag strip to let some cars run so i took it out

The track conditions where horrid I was spinning all thru third gear and almost turned into the wall on one of my runs it was so bad

So anyway the car ran7.8 @ 82 mph in the 1/8 mile

As far as the drifting is concerned the car was completly different then the last time i took it out, it is now about 150 lbs lighter and about 80lbs came off the front of the car. Turn in was good and it would rotate alot easier, i spun out more times today then i ever have trying to get a feel for the car, but im still a novice anyway so w.e

On to the pics

And this to me at least was by far my favorite car out there

The guy even painted a fireball on the bumper from the exhaust

All I can say is damnit this car moves!! And looks so badass too, clean low and simple. Understated but it still looks more business than almost any Nissan Ive seen. Love it!!

Sweet! How did you compare to other times in the 1/8th? Looks like a lot of fun. If I ever get my siht together I'll have to come down for a VHeekend.

I have been reading through your posts and pics trying to get as much info as I can. I just discovered your project last week and it was love at first sight(as with most others). I saw your last post before the weekend's races and I was actually anxiously awaiting your posts this morning. I think I played that youtube video of you wiping out the barrel 50 times. You can tell by the audience and announcer that they were going, "Holy ....!"

Anyway, we have to get you a project page or something to get all this info in one spot. I will help if you want.

I really want to do this swap but I saw you had to cut some serious ventilation for the heat. How's that working out. Can you still drive on the street or is it a race only car? Second, any chance of running a/c. I live in a similar climate to yours (only ours isn't year round) and I don't know how you do it.

Finally, did you use the Eastwood fender roller for your fenders? I'm not too proud to say I am going to copy that. How and with what did you do it?

Thanks for the comments guys

I cant get into too much details right now because im at work

The car can still be driven on the street , i had a pin hole leak in my radiator which was probably why it was getting hot.

The whole weekend I didnt fet the temp over 210 degrees, and that was after 3 runs back to back.Mostly it stayed around 190

As for how i do it everyday its called lexus is300 daily haha

ill post more later tonight

Well now that i have some more time ill give you a better response

Problem with the a/c is that it just doesnt fit between the frame rails. Either you omit the sway bar, tension rods, power steering or alternator. Thats the only real way i could see to make it fit. You might be more creative than me so give it a shot lol

As far as the pull well that was a long 3 hours of massaging. I did use the eastwood fender roller and was able to get about 30 mm pull out of the car, i used a torch to heat the wheel well from the inside and started pull, if your really caredful you can get away without damaging the paint, my car is still on the orignal paint but you will get some lumps in it, the key here is patience.

Also i kinda already have a build thread , it chronicles the project pretty much from start to finish, but in all honesty I couldnt have gotten thru it with out this forum this is the site with the most wealth of knowledge on the VH on the entire internet so just search hard and you will find any anwsers if not you cant shoot me an email and i will help to the best of my ability

Heres the link to my build thread

zer...age=1

Also

Heres some vid im still trying to get used to the car, so be gentle only second event ever and i dont practice on the street

Sweet video. Can you give me the details on your exhaust? I like the way it sounds a lot. I can't remember from your build thread if you're even running a muffler and I'm assuming there's no cats. I remember you built some crazy headers but is it just straight piped from there?

I think it's a Borla twin entry twin exit internal X muffler. It sounds so damn SEXXX in person and inside the car.
