450cc

Hey guys just a quick question for anyone with some 450cc injector knowledge. I cant find much out there on people using them in a red top, but what kind of boost would they be capable of supporting in an SR. I have a 2860rs for a turbo, and all the other necessary supporting mods (fuel pump..blah blah)

I was hoping to snag about 16psi. Is this unrealistic for a 450cc?

That's about the limit of those injectors. You will need something to handle the increased flow rate of the injectors, such as an SAFC or an ECU tune. I'm not sure how SR's like SAFC's, I know KA's are prone to blowing because they do not support timing adjustment.

Maybe post this in the SR section. The simple answer is no, you can not simply swap these in and expect it to run fine.

ya ive got an safc2 and a central 20 ecu, adj fpr and all that stuff, i do know what im doing lol. I just wasnt sure what i could squeeze out of the injectors.

Okay good, you know what to do then. Those injectors should be fine for that much boost, but not much over. Get an A/F ratio gauge so you can tell if the injectors are getting maxed out as you turn up the boost.

Go big or go home..

Also, you can look for similar setups with that turbo and that boost level to find how much horsepower it should create, then use DW's injector calculator to find out the minimum you can use.
