Forgive me if i seem stupid im new to this site and z32s. So I have a 1990 300zx na 5 speed semi project car. I bought it a few months ago for dirt cheap because it was running on 4 cylinders And the guy didn't know his a** from his elbow. I fixed it and boy am I glad I got the car but I've run into an issue at 4500rpm which I can replicate on demand if meeting the criteria of driving it for more than 2 hours. If I hit 4500 rpm after that 2 hour mark the engine Bay loses all electrical But after an hour of sitting here it fires right up like nothing happened... What gives? Any advice? Anyone else run into this problem? The car is 100% stock except that I removed the (block shaped) alarm system next to the ecu and I replaced the 2 dead injectors (pain in the a** isn't even how I'd describe it) I appreciate any input

The fuseable link is the only thing that comes to mind, although that shouldn't "go backwards" and allow you to start again in an hour. Another remote thought is alternator or alternator connection at the battery, no charge from the alt drains the battery but it bounces back later.
Check for any codes and the alt battery connection and fuseable link in the fuse box, hope that helps!

That is strange, indeed. Check out the points Dcaff described and let us know.

Thanks for the input. Like I said before I'm a noob with zs so what is the fusible link? The rest I got fine and I'll check it out asap.

Next to your battery attached to the rear of the strut tower there is a small rectangular box, this box contains your fusible links, they are basically big fuses.

I had a Honda. Don't hate. I had a very similar issue that I chased for years. Come to find out, it was the pgm-fi relay. Basically it heated up and eventually went out. Once it cooled down, the soldered connection would regain its continuity and work again until it would heat up agin.
