45, and i have connection q45 engine plug missing

I have a q45 nd i have a connection on the left side of the engine thst missing, i look at oth er q45, and they have this conection. somone tod e it coul be the plug hst gives the car power, When i go up a hill, my car stuggles to gain speed, but when i am on the highw, my car picks up speed very well, I do not know weather it's a plug o sensor, but it's grey and has a plug at the end of it. when you look at a pick of my engine you see that it is the top plug.
