my windows an my blower fan stopped working the other day and i traced it to a blown 45 amp fuse in the power box next to the battery and ordered one from nissan i bridged the fuse with a 50 amp line fuse and windows worked fine and blower ran so i left windows up and removed line fuse and awaited new fuse
i disconnected battery and replaced fuse and it blew directly i reconnected battery ???
nothing was switched on inside car and keys were not in ignition ?
any ideas please
much too hot for no windows and no A/C

There's a short in the circuit for that fuse that's causing the fuse to blow. Start checking the harness for any run through areas.

What mode did you have the meter in? In Ammeter mode, most entry level meters can't handle too much current.

But to get back to point, the load on that circuit isn't what's causing your fuse to blow. You have a short to ground somewhere after the fuse, but before any of your loads, which causes a short circuit current (bad). That's why I told you to start looking for some kind of harness damage that could have bare wires touching the chassis.

Thanks for the good advice !
I folowed the harness along the rad support where it runs from one side to the other and noticed one of the headlight support bars that run vertical had broke away from it tack welds and was rubbing on the harness
I unbolted it at the bottom end and drilled holes in top where tacks were and put nuts and bolts to secure
plus reinsulated wires before hooking up
