So yea, the van isnt as gas invincible as i stated it to be a while ago.... we ran out today comin home from work, and i also told my mom about the ticket this afternoon, she was pissed, although after work when we had a talk, boy was it a logen, cuz the van ran outta gas and all..... but she told me to see another lawyer that would do my case for 40$.... but she told me to goto that lawyer after i told her everything the other one told me... My lawyer said he would try to get my ticket reduced to community service, defensive driving school, and 6 months probation... and it would only cost 150$ unless he has to goto court more then 2 times.... But tomorrow i have to get my court date moved to sometime in june hopefully.... Well i gtg to bed, peace.

i got a ticket for drifting just this past Saturday. cvc 23019(c). Got my car towed and impounded for 30 days, told my dad right away and took the yelling like a man. Now, he's not as mad, where as if I waited, I'll have my *** handed to me, in 5 pieces.

Well at least you did it, told your mom - but word of advise: Tell your mom as soon as possible, because they won't get angrier at the fact that it was a while ago when you got the ticket. Also, they'll be glad you told them right away (always plus points).

Damn man, it sure took you a while. When I got my first ticket I told her immediately as I walked in the door. She was pissed, but didn't do too much, and told me it was my responsibility to get it worked out. Court date rolls around and I get community service--

i never, ever told my 'rents. they always stayed in the dark even after court. i was like, "i'm going to a job interview" or "i'm eating out, see ya" and they never knew. Until i had a DUI, and then sh*t got serious (duh). but they didn't yell cause i'd already taken care of the lawyer and stuff. Never drink and drift kids. my bad judgement cost me $3000+ more sh*t that hasn't happened yet (2 years probation).

wtf? what kinda post? We were in a secluded warehouse parking lot, away from anyone. Sure, it was irresponisble on my part for doing that, and I won't do that again (for now). But for the guy who had a DUI, you wouldn't care if he got his car back? WTF is wrong with you? DUI is worse than "doing doughnuts" (what the cop said).

I'm not bagging on the guy who had a DUI, if he learned his lesson, he did, and thats good for him. But saying you hope they never give my car back to me, just cause of that? You're friggin out of your mind. Try comparing drifting to a DUI.

Harsh but understandable? WtF? you were going 42 mph over the speed limit. Endangering more people that I was. Hell, I was just there with my friend. Sorry but this just pissed me off. Drifting in a warehouse parking lot, with no one there, is not worse than a DUI or going 42 mph over the freaking speedlimit.
