I should have the dyno sheet scanned before too long. I started at 30psi but the boost bled off to about 25. Any idea what causes this? I made the torque at 4400rpms and the power at 5800 which is where the boost started bleeding off.Pulls were done in 4th gear and it was about 65 degrees outside.Well my two goals for the car have been met:Over 400rwhp and an 11 second timeslip. Now I can sell the car and be happy. Think I am going to get an MR2 now. My buddy has one that has 150,000 miles on the stock motor and he just dynoed 525 hehe. Sounds like fun.

suppose one of the tubes is leaking/loose? see it on diesels every once and awhile , lines from the intercooler or turbo loosen up and at higer psi they will leak out , i usuly go thru them all at the 6 month checkup and tighten them all , ours have the silicone joints on alumiun tubeing with the expnsive flip/screw type stainless clamps

impressive nonetheless :ylsuper

I wonder if your turbo is just getting worn out?

Or how about this theory....

I just looked up your turbo's compressor map....you are WAAAAY out of the efficiency range of that turbo. It's too small for you. I just looked at the charts, and it looks like a T-66 would work MUCH better on your car. T-70 looks a hair too big.

I got it new and it has less than 1000 miles on it. Yes it is a T3/T04E 60-1

Thanks for the compliment.

Yeah like I said, I'm sure the turbo is fine, it's just too small. I'm not just trying to convince you bigger is better....but you really are pushing that thing well beyond it's efficiency range.

is it just me or does 11.92 seem a tad low for 400+ hp and torque? i would expect low 11's but maybe i am just dreaming. what other mods do u have?

He stripped his distributor on that run. So he jumped timing during the run. Should have been mid 11's.

Pennyfreak- Torry is correct, the car basically coasted through the traps due to the distributor stripping. It is capable of mid 11's @ about 125-128 but I will never find out becuase I am selling it next week to someone in NC. CHeck the link in my signature for a list of mods.

You've also got a small leak in the IC pipes coming out of the turbo, I've got money on it that that, and the fact that the turbo just can't keep up with airflow is what caused the boost to fall off.

If you hadn't broke at the end of the track, and if you didn't do a 2.0 60ft that should have been like a 10.9 pass.

I'm saying this for everybody who dosn't know this.... his car normally traps like 126 on only 23psi, at 30 he did 118 because it broke. He also was WAY off on his 60 because it was the first time he had ever driven on slicks. get that thing down to a 1.5 and he's in the low 11's, keep the speed up at the end and it's 10's. That is about the most insane car I've ever ridden in, anything that will go totally sideways at 60mph in 3rd gear from rolling onto the gas is nutter in my opinion.

I think it was loose or something and the gear on the end wore down to nothing basically.

Very impressive. Congrats. That's where I want my car to be and more if possible. Maybe by this time next year.
