i went to the dyno today. ended up making 406 rwhp and 385 ft.lbs at 23 psi.

before, i made 390 rwhp and 360 ft.lbs at 24 psi. i knew the car was more torquey than before. so far, im happy with my new setup and even more progress will be made within the next few months.

i think its time that i upgrade my intercooler and intercooler piping since everything is heatsoaking and inefficient at higher boost levels.

here's the video:http://www.team-octane.net/ima...6.zip

here's the graph:

Boost Designs manifold and downpipe, 3 deg. advance over JWT timing (prolly 17-18 deg. total timing), no exhaust and wastegate dumped instead of recirculated.

not enough. dont make me come up there and beat you with my MDM Techtom.

ill be guessing for years what my power difference is. (cams, piping size. bad luck?)

19 psi is low boost for me. lol.

You can see where the BD stuff helped out. Thats pretty awesome that you made the exact same hp 500rpm earlier from 5k on. Whats up with 6200rpm dip in HP and torque?

yep exactly. that what i expected to happen switching from a log manifold to a tubular manifold.im not sure what the dip was. i know i need better spark for sure. the run was made at .020" plug gap and i think that was too low.

Nice work, Ryan!!!!

Thanks to you and Rick (and others) for "leading the way" and giving us a realistic view of what a properly-tuned KA can do.

there's many others that have led the way for me with my setup (Norbert, Jay Levan, Chris May and Jeff at CIP, etc).

im just starting to get things the way I want them. It takes alot of time and money and it never ends. Even in the next 2 months, my car will change alot.

but for the most part, building up a motor gives you so many options and possibilites with what you want to do. i've given mine hell in the past year and am really happy with how things turn out. now hopefully i wont jinx myself and blow it up tomorrow. lol

ive had a few down times with my car being a daily driver and sometimes thats a pain. i really wish i would have a second car sometimes but having my turbo ka as a daily driver just makes it even more enjoyable.
