Ok so I ordered the interior trunk protector for my rogue . while I was on the phone with the parts guy
i asked him about upgrading the BOSE system and adding the 2011 navi . He told me that the bezel came with the navi and that the price was about 4000 dollars and I should get an aftermarket one. :ohno:

There is no way the navi can be 4000 dollars . I think not even BMW charges that much for the navi.

Replacement parts can sometimes be far more expensive than the original option package was.

Although I could not find the Rogue Navi, I did find the replacement nav unit for an '08-10 Altima. Cost... $4000!

One would assume the Rogue unit isn't any cheaper.

Because it was made by manufacture and not some aftermarket so it fits perfectly in the spot where it supposed to be. Probably it will not have a lot of features like watching video on it or type the phone # from the screen and so on but if it will it will be harder to hack so you could use it while driving. $4k hard to believe but it sounds like the guy over the phone was looking at the regular radio....not even mp3 player probably.

Did you ask him how much the navi was without the bezel? :poke:

Why not just go aftermarket? Lots of nav units under $1K. Add a dash kit and you're set.

I see nothing special about the Nissan nav unit that other makes cannot duplicate. You can also add a backup camera, bluetooth, sat radio... etc.

BTW, a replacement factory radio is about $750. Even for the base model.

From what the guy told me the radio comes with the Bezel so i guess the bezel can only be gotten that way

i might go with an after market navi and add a dash kit so the color difference of the aftermarket kit is not noticible
