Filled the Q on the way to Tucson this weekend... 3 kids, lots of crap in the trunk.... Set the trip odo on the way out of the gas station.

Ran between 60-100 on the freeway there and back, plus some stop and go in town and some full-throttle 0-60 runs in town.

Low Fuel indicator came on at an indicated 388 miles on the way to work this morning, and I made it to the office (another 12 miles) before I filled up again (21.3 gallons).

Not bad for a fully-loaded, 15-second 4200-lb luxobarge on 18's!

I was gonna post this earlier, but ill ask... How do you like the cooper tires you got on there now?

The Coopers are good, but they were really a "necessity" purchase rather than my choice.

When I replace them, I'll go 255/40/18 instead of 245.

They're sticky and quiet, which is about all you can ask of a tire in that size.

Im curious about what brands your looking at... I might also suggest a 255-45, as load rating will be more golden... Speedo will be off a little but when your speedo reads 60, youll be going 62...

FYI, when your going 150, youll be really going 156

^ That means my speedo will be WAY off (4.08, remember?).

I haven't even looked yet, as my Coopers are wearing well.

Wait a minute. Wouldn't having the 4.08 gears cause the speedo to read higher MPH then you are actually going?

And taller(diameter) then OEM tires would cause the speedo to read lower MPH then you are actually going.

So wouldn't having the 4.08 And larger then OEM tires actually cause the speedo to read a little closer to your true speed?

Yes, yes, and yes.

But my tires are somewhat shorter than 26.1".

Not enough to offset the speedo difference - it reads a little high (still).
