Im seeing a lot of 40 dollar short shifters on ebay and i am wondering if these things are worth getting?

1. Do they decrease the throw?

2. Can I put my shift knob on them?

3. Are they easy to install?

Somebody had to buy it already. Share the experiance with the people that havent.

not exactly easy to install...

a short shifter is a short shifter, as long as it's not made with alumnium then it shouldn't be too bad... and of course it decrease throws

you are goign to hear people scream b&m but it's up to you, you be the judge... I actually appreciate stock throw

B&M must be nice cause everyone seems to love it, wasnt there noise issues? Not everyone has 200 bucks though, It would be nice just to get a 40 dollar shifter that decreased the throw. I just want my knob to fit, and i dont want any trouble installing and of course it has to decrease throw.

Ok I am a 1st hand source. I got A $40 stainless steel shifter from some company. Probs I had were:-Missing bolts-missing dust boot-missing plastic thing to hold the shifter from coming out

And i learned that not all short shifter decrease the throw the same. you get what you pay for. My friends B&m shifter had a resulted in a dramatic decrease in throw. But he paid like $200 for it. My ss had like a 10% decrease on the throw. Not that much but it was $40.

you have to decide how much throw you want to decrease

my skunk2 SS ($120) on my integra is only 1 inch shorter... my friends SS ($10) is very close each other in every gear. he likes it and I don't

you be the judge and decide what you prefer

Take it from me, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

I don't particularly like anything made from america. it doesn't matter if it works good or not i for some reason can't use anything from b&m and companies many people use from. like ecu tuning from jwt i refuse to get it done there. that's just my opinion i use c's it's pretty good
