when doing the 5 lug conversion do you run into touble with the rear hubs? ive been told that in order to replace the rear wheel hubs you must replace the rear axle?

I think it depends on which ones you get from where. Nissan used 2 different style rear axles for the 240- One was 5 bolt "star" pattern, the other was a 6 bolt "twin triangle" type pattern.

The only time you have to replace the axles is if your using q45 or 300zxtt hubs but that is a whole different story/swap. If you use conversuon hubs or 5 lug s14 or 300zx hubs the spline count/size is the same so you use your stock axles.

Lol was just replying to 420sxwetdreams 5 lug conversion question. here ill re post what i told him with alil editing. BTW this is if you get the ichiba 5 lug hubs, whcih is a good idea new hubs with new bearings already pressed in, it's a easier install.

Its really easy took me a day to do just make sure you have all the tools required before hand. lol i forgot to buy the 30mm, 36mm sockets, and some axle grease. luckily i was borrowing my rents garage so i took their car. ------>And make sure ur rims fit <---- it's really important. Ichiba hubs are 5x114.3 so get the right lug pattern, and also the right offset. if ur doing the 300zx big brake conversion at the same time it's wise to get speed bleeders if your by your self. O almost forgot Get the right Lug Nuts, they are 12X1.25

Heres some links to help you out for the 5 lug conv, the first link is all you really need but put up a few others for comparison
