Planning my options for a G coupe. How would you describe the feel of this system? Do you think it's worth the $1500.

One you've tweaked the tires and suspension nothing left except active rear toe control to improve things a few percent. It doesn't really steer just varies the toe a few degrees to counter oversteer at the limit.

Been available on 300zx and old Q since 1989 dropped in 1995 as few purchased this option.

I can really help safety wise in rain and snow or the less than trained race driver.

If it ever saves an accident well worth the $1500.

I agree. Of course, if you are just using the car as a commuter then it probably is not worth it.

i'm inclined to think not in most cases.

my only experience is with the older 240sx so am not implying things will be the same on the car you end up with. the 240 was available with a thing called super hicas. my 240 didn't have it and i used to wish it did. until i realized: first i didn't need it, the rear suspension was very well designed and with the proper settings, tires, experience, it wasn't necessary; second, it was prone to problems, expensive to fix once warranty was out; third, made the car feel heavier and less nimble.

of course, i realize, the general trend is for more gadgets and advanced features. in a family car, probably all the air bags, awd, accident avoidance, etc it great. in a sporty car, my feeling is it just detracts from the purist experience and each adds a layer removing you from feeling the road. of course, i was against abs when it first came out and still think it tends to "heavy things up" on a lot of cars! so, take my comments with a grain of salt.
