4-way Wiging

I completly gutted my car a while bak and i lost the hazard button for the 4-ways and i cant seem to find a 240 in a saalvage yard anywhere around here so i want to hook up a toggle switch... now does anyone know exactly which wires are for the 4-ways? and on the switch i have it says power load and ground... so which color wires go to those 3? Thanks

i dont know which wires exactly are for the hazards, but the power is a 12 volt power source (either find one in the dash, or just run a wire through the passenger side firewall grommet [look under the hood by the intake] to the positive battery terminal) ground is, well...a ground. splice a wire into another ground, or run a wire through that firewall grommet. load is going to be the wires that run out to the 4 blinkers. lemme pull my hazard switch and i'll post which wires you need to put into the load terminal.

i just put in a toggle switch 2 nights ago for my sleepy lights, so it's all fresh in my mind.

damn, it doesnt look like you can wire up the hazard switch to a 3 terminal toggle switch. there are 8 wires, and you need an 8 wire connector. someone else back me up here. can it be done?

Thanks for looking man i wasnt sure which set of wires was the one for the hazard lights so u helped me on that one.... but if i cant find a salvage yard with a 240 i guess ill have to buy one off somebody on here an wait till it gets here... Thanks again

i was thinking if there is a way to hook up the toggle switch... there are 8 wires for the hazard lights, so would there be 4 power and then 4 ground? if thats the case... could i hook the 4 power together and put them on the load and the 4 ground together and put them on the ground? then just run a ground to the chassis and a power to 12v?

Dont know if itll work, im not too good with wiring so just let me know if anybody would happen to know.... Thanks
