So the speaker in the passenger's rear has started to sound like ***, funny cause out of the stock speakers the passenger's rear was the first to blow, so for the time being I decided to take it out so I can listen to my music without the crappy sound coming from the crappy speaker. Is my deck gonna crap on me for having only 4 speakers hooked up to it? I hope so cause I currently don't have anything to replace it and with it in there I gotta keep the volume down other wise the speaker asses out.

I took the rear deck cover off and put some music with some bump on and it sounds bad but if I put my finger on a spot on the outer layer of the cone of these 6.5" inchers out of a Saab and it doesn't sound bad anymore. In fact when I had my finger on it I could crank up the volume and it would sound great. I was thinking of ghetto-Macgyver rigging something to hold it down on that spot but my tape and DVD case tabs did not hold up to the job for more than a split second Any ideas?

NO! Do you have $40?

If so go to walmart. IRC you have 6.5in speakers all the way around. Buy two sets of Roadmaster 6.5in speakers. They'll cost you ~$20 per pair. Replace all speakers.

I can guarantee you that this will sound 100% better then it currently does.

After you do this, then you can just imagine how much better it will sound when/if you put a good set of speakers in it.

Nay there's 4x6s up front.

There was an issue with the way the speaker was sitting in the mounting point and it was solved with the swiftness.

The rears are 6.5s out of a Saab and they sound pretty damn good, and my fronts aren't blown or ripped so they sound decent but I'll look into some mounting plates for 6.5s and I'll check out those Roadmasters.

Are they anything like Rampage? :p

Well, they're extremely cheap speakers. They sound good for what they are(cheap). I was just saying that if you upgraded to even the cheapest aftermarket speakers you would notice an improvement. So then just think about going with really good speakers would sound like.

Ah, 4x6 is one of those expensive sizes
