i have 2 12" JL Audio w3v3-4 subs in a ported enclosure.

i currently have them set up to a rockford fosgate p6002 amp.this amp runs 600x1@2 ohms bridged.

for about a week or so i have been running the amp bridged (600x1@2 ohms). i wanted to know if i am doing any damage by running 2 4 ohm subs at a 2 ohm load, other than running the amp a bit hot.

It should be ok, but you should tune the gain on your amp so it won't damage your subs since your subs are rated 500W rms each. I'm planning to use this tutorial to tune my amps (this for my Z, but should work with any cars)

I have almost the same setup as you. I'm currently running 2 10" JL W3V3 with an Alpine 600x1@ 2 ohms amp (700W rms).

my subs are 500rms per sub. im only running 300 per sub as of right now. but my buddy at my local car audio shop already tuned my gain with his voltage meter. so i haven't touched it since.

i just wanted to make sure i wasnt damaging my subs. thanks.
