So I'm on the look out for a new set of wheels for my S13. My 962s are currently up for sale and I'm in the market for something a little wider and with better offset.

The ONLY reason I don't want to go 5 lug is the fact that I have tons of 4 lug track wheels(about 6 15x8, 15x9 wheels) now which would become useless if I converted.

I'm looking for something maybe 17x9.5 or 17x10 with an offset no more than +15ish. Only thing semi low price that I've found so far are 4 lug P45Rs.

Those won't fit on a 240. Mustang four lugs aren't 4x114.3, they're 4x108.

If I were you I'd keep an eye on rbmotoring.com for a decent set. Or maybe memoryfab.com, thats where I got mine. You can find hidden treasure on those sites with a little patience.

OK im a noob. but i have to ask. i have been using the search button for two hours at least. i am new to 240 and am coming up on wheel choices. my S14 is a four lug. is there any performance gain going 5 lug? just more wheel options? why do it?

^^^Five lug gives you a wider range of wheels to pick from for whatever your preference is. If you wanna find low offset wheels so you can run stretched tires, theres plenty to pick from out there. If you wanna run relatively high offset wheels so you can use wider tires, lots of those around too.

But with four lug, your chocise are pretty much limited to the wheels I posted above or some much more expensive wheels from the likes of Work or SSR...

If 9.5 inches is wide enough for you, four lug can do that and fit pretty decently wide tires depending on how much fender work you wanna do.
