My car, a 91 240sx, has 4 lugs.

And i want to buy my friends rims, which are 4 lug also, off him.

My problem is, they dont fit. My lug placement is much wider than the holes in the rims.

Is there anything i can do to get this fixed.

P.s. Don't ask me about sizes because I dont know.

Absolutely not. If you put a drill to that wheel, you decrease the structural integrity of the wheel. Many wheels are designed with multifit holes, but that doesn't mean it's acceptable to drill new holes in your wheel.

Keep searching for different rims.

It's not worth messing with adapters. If the wheels are the correct offset, you can kiss that goodbye. Putting anything between the face of the hub and the mounting surface of the wheel is a bad idea. Hold out and get wheels with the correct offset and bolt pattern.

Call the wheel manufacturer and ask if it's safe to re-drill the wheels. I've got a set of centerline wheels on my car that were originally 4x100. An engineer at centerline told me it was safe to re-drill those particular wheels but to always check with the manufacturer first.

^ instead, he'd waste good time looking for the wheels in 114.3 when someone who designs wheels for a living tells him it's perfectly safe.
